Store-bought ranch is often full of preservatives and sodium. Here's an easy low-sodium ranch dressing recipe that tastes straight off the shelf!

You'll need...

  • One jar

  • 1/2 cup light mayo

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp onion flakes

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients into a jar.

  2. Cover & shake until thoroughly combined.

  3. Enjoy with anything that calls for ranch: salad, veggies, chicken wings, fries, pizza, and more!

Chef Chie's Notes

Makes 1/2 cup of low-sodium ranch dressing. Store in an airtight container & refrigerate after use. Lasts up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Toss if it smells or tastes funky.

Chie recommends repurposing a thoroughly washed BPA-free vessel for your homemade ranch, whether that be a mason jar, Bonne Maman jar, or a glass Pyrex container.

Tweet from James Breakwell: My 6-year-old called ranch dressing "salad frosting" and now I'll never call it anything else.
